Hello whoever might be reading this!
If you have been following me some time you probably have noticed that I don't do updates pretty much ever... because I don't have too much to say I guess, or at least I don't think it would be interesting to anyone
. Anyways I decided break the mold to give small in-depth update of whats going with me lately and how are my goals changing.
I guess I could say that I have been pretty unmotivated about everything except drawing lately, but I have been feeling especially unmotivated about the current field I am studying -software programming- for quite some time now. I have slowly lost interested in studying it steadily these past years with some bright patches of motivation that kept me continuing in school (exchange in Scotland and half a year working on small local game studio ). I was hoping that I would regain my drive that I had first couple years of my studies , but I didn't... instead I just have the stress building up from my lack of ...drive, want and care I guess ...dunno
So now I feel like best solution for me would be to drop out, to free my mind from hanging on school stuff that I find irrelevant at this point. Sure relatives will be disappointed I guess but to be honest, I never have cared about what they think concerning me... I sure as hell haven't cared how they are doing.
What about future?
Well I guess I could say goodbye for the boring but steady paying desk job, coding some boring piece of software that somehow boosts some unknown company's sales 10% or something like that
. Anyways I really would like to explore where I can push my limits on drawing, if I would be able to pay the bills someday just from doing digital art... that would be nice. I sure as hell will give it a shot even though it will be hard road ahead... might even apply to school for game design at some point or just try to get some freelance gigs around.
So after I get my school situation resolved I'll try to dedicate myself to digital art and other digital media, try to get started on some comics , some web design, maybe some get to do some game related stuff too.
TL,DR: Dropping out, more art

Art and commission stuff
Art
So I am gonna be more focused on drawing from now on, i'll probably will setup "regular" schedule for streaming at some point. I realize that my speed is something that I need to work on as I take too much time per piece, but I feel like that just comes from working more and maintaining focus.
I have couple comic book cover arts (for nonexistent comics) in the works stewing in my head that I'll try to push out at some point. Feel like those would be cool to practice some cover art composition and might actually do couple pages for practice for some of them.
Also i had an idea for YouTube series that i might give a shot. It would be about capturing the creative flow and training your imagination, basically doodling random things without forethought and seeing where it leads. Bit like
Mary Doodles -what will i draw series.
Commission stuff (commissions always open btw)
I have been wondering on how others take commissions. Like how they collect their slots and stuff. I personally think Google spreadsheet is pretty god damn optimal for that, especially if you couple it with Google form. For example use the form like ticketing system, commissioners would enter their contact info and by sending their form, artist sees the time stamped entry in spread sheet and can contact back to start the dialog with potential customer with their preferred contact method. I mainly thought this as uniform and easy way to keep track of commission queries from all the art platforms (Tumblr, Deviant art, Weasyl, FA, Ink bunny, Patreon(?), Pixiv for some and so on).
I realize that it may be bit off putting for some to fill out a form and it probably wont catch off fast if at all, but its just one tool more to organize artists workflow in my opinion. Anyways Im gonna use one that I prepared for myself as example:
goo.gl/forms/ShMo8GiVvx(I could have embedded it here too but felt like this was getting too long already
)
After possible commissioner fills and sends that artist can see entry in the spreadsheet like this :
Well that was my short example. Better wrap this journal up
TL,DR: Lotsa various art stuff in the works, Commission always open and organization of slots and stuff
PS: Urgh another year older again
. Well I guess I just have to see where this year goes.
PPS: Banner art is from an art piece from
Aeollon , go check him out
